Power Dash by Tamiya

As you can probably tell by now I like Tamiya Motors. This one seems to be the first other that the Plasma that comes stock with good brushes. They looked like copper. I switched them for some carbons and put it in my 6 cell Supra. The result was 29 mph on the speed checker. On my track it was nice… had good acceleration. I think they use Ferrite Mags in this one because it had more punch than the others. Still on my small track it could not reach top speed. My track is only 15 X 10. It also ran alittle cooler than the Hyper dash. Also it did not really benefit from the extra cell. So what have we learned here. If you want a cheap upgradeable motor. For larger tracks and outside than I would hit eBay and try some of the Tamiya motors. This one cost me 7 buck with shipping and 3 for the carbon brushes.
